Ingredients
- 1 pkg. devils food cake mix
- 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
- 3 c. Cool Whip
Method
- Prepare two 9-inch cake layers as directed on package.
- Bake and cool.
- Spoon 1 cup whipped topping around outside edge of bottom layer.
- Fill center of 1st layer with one-half of pie filling.
- Place second layer on top.
- Spoon 1 1/2 cups whipped topping around top edge and spoon remaining pie filling into center top of cake.
- Chill and serve.
- Keep leftover cake refrigerated.
