Ingredients
- 4 c. sugar
- 2 c. canned milk
- pinch of salt
- 2 c. pecans, chopped
Method
- Make a syrup with 3 1/2 cups of sugar, salt and milk.
- While this is coming to a boil, put the 1/2 cup remaining sugar in a pan until it is light in color.
- Add syrup mixture to browned sugar while stirring, but stir until dissolved.
- Remove from heat when forms a ball in cold water.
- Beat until creamy; add nuts and drop by spoonfuls on wax paper.
