Ingredients

  • 1 angel food cake
  • 1 large container Cool Whip
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 large pkg. vanilla instant pie filling
  • 2 cans Comstock cherry pie filling

Method

  • Using an electric knife, slice angel food cake into 3 equal layers.
  • Mix instant pie filling
  • according to package directions. Fold together Cool Whip, drained pineapple and instant pie filling.
  • Place bottom layer on serving plate.
  • Spread evenly with Cool Whip mixture, then place 4 to 6 cherries evenly around the bottom layer.
  • Add middle layer and the top layer, repeating process.
  • After all 3 layers are assembled, drizzle remaining Cool Whip mixture so that it runs down the sides and middle.
  • Drizzle remaining cherries on top of top layer of Cool Whip mixture.
