Ingredients
- 1 angel food cake
- 1 large container Cool Whip
- 1 large can crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 large pkg. vanilla instant pie filling
- 2 cans Comstock cherry pie filling
Method
- Using an electric knife, slice angel food cake into 3 equal layers.
- Mix instant pie filling
- according to package directions. Fold together Cool Whip, drained pineapple and instant pie filling.
- Place bottom layer on serving plate.
- Spread evenly with Cool Whip mixture, then place 4 to 6 cherries evenly around the bottom layer.
- Add middle layer and the top layer, repeating process.
- After all 3 layers are assembled, drizzle remaining Cool Whip mixture so that it runs down the sides and middle.
- Drizzle remaining cherries on top of top layer of Cool Whip mixture.
