Ingredients
- 5 Tbsp. butter (use 3 to cut into flour)
- 1 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. half and half
Method
- Blend flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- Cut in 3 tablespoons butter until fine particles.
- Beat egg and add half and half and 2 tablespoons softened butter.
- Toss with fork, knead very gently on floured surface.
- Roll 1/4-inch thick, cut and spread with softened butter. Top with remaining rounds.
- Sprinkle top with sugar.
- Bake 14 minutes at 400°.
