Ingredients
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 3/4 c. canned evaporated milk
- 2 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. sunflower seeds
- 2/3 c. honey
- 1/2 c. salad oil
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 8 c. whole wheat flour
Method
- Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
- Combine milk and 2 cups warm water.
- To this add honey, oil and salt.
- In large bowl put about 6 cups flour, then add the yeast and milk mixture.
- Beat thoroughly.
- Add rest of flour.
- Place in greased bowl.
- Cover and let rise.
- Place on board and divide dough in half.
- Knead a minute or two and place in greased pan.
- Brush oil over top of loaves and let rise until doubled.
- Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. To make in a bread maker, cut recipe in half.
