Ingredients

  • 1 pound Bacon
  • 1 whole Onion, Diced
  • 1 can (28.5 Oz. Can) Pork And Beans
  • 1 can (15.5 Oz. Can) Mild Chili Beans
  • 1 can (15.5 Oz. Can) Hot Chili Beans
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce
  • 1/4 cups Mustard
  • 1/2 cups Ketchup
  • 4 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Liquid Smoke
  • 2 cups Dark Brown Sugar

Method

  • Preheat oven to 225 degrees. Chop bacon and onion; saute. Drain juice from beans. Combine BBQ sauce, mustard, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke and brown sugar. Add bacon/onion and beans to the sauce in a large oven proof pan. Cook for 5 hours, stirring every hour.
  • The type of BBQ sauce you use will adjust the taste. I use Honey BBQ sauce. But if you want more kick, choose a different flavor. If you would prefer no kick, replace the hot chili beans with another can of mild.
  • This makes a lot. It would be perfect for a BBQ with friends or family reunion.
  • Enjoy!
