Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 3 onions, diced
- 1/3 c. medium pearl barley
- 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 3 potatoes, diced
- 3 stalks celery, diced
Method
- Cook meat in margarine 2 to 3 minutes, breaking up.
- Add next 6 ingredients and 1 1/2 quarts water.
- Bring to boil.
- Cover and simmer 1 hour.
- Add remaining ingredients (vegetables) and simmer 1 hour longer.
- Enjoy.
