Ingredients

  • 2 lb. sirloin steak
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 large can mushrooms
  • 1 c. Burgundy wine
  • 2 cans onions
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley

Method

  • Cut steak into large cubes.
  • Melt the butter in a Dutch oven. When sizzling, brown the meat.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer 1 hour, covered.
  • For the last 15 minutes, uncover and stir several times.
  • If juice is too thin, increase heat so that excess moisture evaporates.
  • Remove bay leaf and serve over noodles or rice.
