- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 6 c. water
- 6 beef bouillon cubes
- 2 or 3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. barley
- 1 large onion
- 1 1/4 c. chopped celery
- 2 carrots, cut in bite-size pieces
- 1 can mixed vegetables
- 1/2 c. small pasta
Method
- Brown ground beef.
- Add next items.
- Season to taste with salt, pepper, parsley and oregano.
- Bring to boil.
- Simmer 1 1/2 hours and serve.
- If too thick or too rich, you can add bouillon or plain water.
