Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut in thin strips
  • 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1 c. diced onion
  • 1 c. Uncle Ben's converted rice
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef broth water
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce or to taste
  • 2 green peppers, coarsely chopped
  • 1 (2 oz.) jar sliced pimento, drained

Method

  • Brown beef in oil in 10-inch skillet.
  • Stir in onion, rice, beef broth, 1 soup can water and soy sauce.
  • Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and cook over low heat until liquid is absorbed, about 25 minutes.
  • Stir in green peppers and pimento. Heat thoroughly.
