Ingredients
- 1 frying chicken, cut up
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 stick butter
- 1 c. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. leaf thyme
- 2 Tbsp. dried minced onion
Method
- Dip chicken pieces into buttermilk and then into a mixture of flour, salt, pepper, paprika, thyme and minced onion.
- Melt butter in shallow baking pan in 400° oven.
- Remove pan and place chicken in pan, turning to coat with butter.
- Bake in single layer, skin side down, for 30 minutes.
- Turn and bake 30 more minutes.
