Ingredients
- 3 1/2 qt. water
- 3 onions, chopped
- 4 carrots, chopped
- 3 stalks celery, chopped
- 3 or 4 potatoes, diced
- fresh parsley (handful)
- 1 can peeled tomatoes
- 3 slices bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 4 cans minced clams
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
Method
- Put water in large pot.
- Add onions, carrots, celery, potatoes, parsley and tomatoes.
- Fry bacon until browned; add to water mixture with the drippings.
- Add clams, salt and pepper. Cook 1 hour or more.
