Ingredients

  • 2 tsp -bone steaks, 1-inch thick
  • 1 1/2 c. beer
  • 1/3 c. extra virgin olive oil or possibly salad oil
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 x cloves

Method

  • Combine the beer, olive or possibly salad oil, honey, salt, black pepper and clove n a flat dish.
  • Put the steaks into the marinade and leave to marinate for 12 hrs turning occasionally.
  • When the charcoal is tinged with grey, cook the steak one side, brush the upper side with the marinade juices, turn the steaks and cook the other side.
  • Yield: 2 servings
