- 2 lb. country style spareribs (4 or 5 big chunks)
- 1 c. ketchup
- 1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. chili powder
- 2 c. water
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 4 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 onion, chopped
- dash of garlic salt
Method
- If ribs are fatty, bake with no sauce for 3/4 hour, then pour off fat before adding sauce.
- Mix together remaining ingredients. (For quicker cooking, you may heat the sauce to boiling before pouring over ribs.)
- Pour sauce over ribs in deep pan or roaster.
- Cover and bake at 350° for about 2 hours (or 1 1/4 hours if already removed fat).
