Ingredients

  • 2 lb. country style spareribs (4 or 5 big chunks)
  • 1 c. ketchup
  • 1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 4 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/4 onion, chopped
  • dash of garlic salt

Method

  • If ribs are fatty, bake with no sauce for 3/4 hour, then pour off fat before adding sauce.
  • Mix together remaining ingredients. (For quicker cooking, you may heat the sauce to boiling before pouring over ribs.)
  • Pour sauce over ribs in deep pan or roaster.
  • Cover and bake at 350° for about 2 hours (or 1 1/4 hours if already removed fat).
