Ingredients

  • 12 frankfurters, scored
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. catsup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. celery salt
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. hot sauce

Method

  • Place frankfurters in a 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish; set aside.
  • Saute onion in butter in a saucepan until tender.
  • Remove from heat; stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Pour over frankfurters. Bake, uncovered, at 325° for 25 minutes.
  • Serves 6.
