- 1/8 c. salad oil
- 1 chopped onion (medium)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3/4 c. honey
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 1/4 c. Worcestershire
- 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- Tabasco sauce to taste
Method
- Heat oil and add onion and garlic.
- Cook until tender, not brown.
- Add other ingredients and bring to boil.
- Turn down heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Baste meat last 10 minutes of cooking time with sauce.
- Can be stored in refrigerator for several weeks. Yields 1 quart, enough for 3 to 4 chops or ribs.
