Ingredients

  • 1/8 c. salad oil
  • 1 chopped onion (medium)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3/4 c. honey
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 1/4 c. Worcestershire
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • Tabasco sauce to taste

Method

  • Heat oil and add onion and garlic.
  • Cook until tender, not brown.
  • Add other ingredients and bring to boil.
  • Turn down heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Baste meat last 10 minutes of cooking time with sauce.
  • Can be stored in refrigerator for several weeks. Yields 1 quart, enough for 3 to 4 chops or ribs.
