Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • 8 thick beef or pork sausages
  • 2 onions, thinly sliced King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 3 cups pre-prepared KRAFT Bonox stock
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh tarragon or oregano
  • Mashed potato, to serve Safeway 2 pkg For $5.00 thru 02/09

Method

  • Heat oil in a large pan; cook sausages for 6-8 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  • Keep warm, covered in foil, in the oven at 100C.
  • In the same pan, saute onion and garlic until tender.
  • Add the flour and cook until browned.
  • Stir in prepared Bonox*, wine, tomato paste and tarragon; simmer 10-15 minutes until sauce has thickened.
  • Serve mashed potato onto serving plates.
  • Top with sausages and finish with onion gravy.
