Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons oil
- 8 thick beef or pork sausages
- 2 onions, thinly sliced King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1/4 cup plain flour
- 3 cups pre-prepared KRAFT Bonox stock
- 1/4 cup red wine
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh tarragon or oregano
- Mashed potato, to serve Safeway 2 pkg For $5.00 thru 02/09
Method
- Heat oil in a large pan; cook sausages for 6-8 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Keep warm, covered in foil, in the oven at 100C.
- In the same pan, saute onion and garlic until tender.
- Add the flour and cook until browned.
- Stir in prepared Bonox*, wine, tomato paste and tarragon; simmer 10-15 minutes until sauce has thickened.
- Serve mashed potato onto serving plates.
- Top with sausages and finish with onion gravy.
