Ingredients
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. mashed bananas
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 c. chopped nuts
- 3/4 tsp. salt
Method
- Cream the butter and sugar thoroughly.
- Blend in eggs, bananas and vanilla.
- Sift flour, soda and salt together.
- Add to banana mixture, alternating with buttermilk, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
- Add nuts and mix.
- Pour into greased and floured loaf pans.
- Bake at 325° for 1 1/4 hours, or until done.
