Ingredients
- 1 x (29 ounce) canned yams, liquid removed
- 3/4 x - 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. orange juice. Preheat oven to 350 .
Method
- Place yams in a shallow baking dish, a pie plate works well.
- Combine brown sugar, butter and orange juice in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Pour sauce over yams and bake at 350 for one hour.
- [] Seems to me one could cook fresh, peeled, cubed yams as usual, then put into the baking dish with the boiled sauce poured over them.
- Which would be less expensive and probably taste better - but would take more time.
