Ingredients

  • 1 c. uncooked macaroni
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese (regular or light)

Method

  • Cook macaroni according to package directions; put in a 1 1/2 quart casserole.
  • Melt butter in saucepan; add flour, salt, pepper and dry mustard.
  • Slowly stir in milk and cook until slightly thickened.
  • Add cheese and stir until melted.
  • Pour sauce over the macaroni and stir together.
  • Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
