Ingredients

  • 1 c lima beans
  • 1 chunk pork, bacon or ham
  • little onion
  • 2 T Karo syrup or molasses
  • 2 T brown sugar
  • 1 t salt
  • 2 T granulated sugar
  • 1/2 t dry mustard

Method

  • Cook lima beans in water for about 1 hour until skins begin to curl off, leave water on.
  • In baking dish combine meat, onion, syrup, sugars, salt and mustard (may also add a little ketchup). Add beans and cover with more water if needed (beans must be kept covered.
