Ingredients
- 1 c lima beans
- 1 chunk pork, bacon or ham
- little onion
- 2 T Karo syrup or molasses
- 2 T brown sugar
- 1 t salt
- 2 T granulated sugar
- 1/2 t dry mustard
Method
- Cook lima beans in water for about 1 hour until skins begin to curl off, leave water on.
- In baking dish combine meat, onion, syrup, sugars, salt and mustard (may also add a little ketchup). Add beans and cover with more water if needed (beans must be kept covered.
