Ingredients

  • 2 lb Center cut ham slice
  • 1/2 c. Brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3 Tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 c. -Water
  • 1 Tbsp. Margarine
  • 1/2 c. Raisins
  • 1/2 c. American sauterne, or possibly other dry white wine

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350 .
  • Place ham in a shallow baking pan.
  • Set aside.
  • Combine sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan.
  • Stir in water and margarine.
  • Place over med-high heat and cook, stirring constantly, 5 mins.
  • Remove pan from heat and stir in raisins and wine.
  • Pour the mix over ham.
  • Bake uncovered 45 mins.
  • or possibly till tender.
  • Note - one serving of this dish provides most of the recommended daily amt.
