Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 3 cans green beans, drained
  • 1 c. catsup
  • 3/4 c. light brown sugar
  • 1 medium onion, chopped fine
  • 1 medium green bell pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. sweet pickle relish (optional)
  • 2 tsp. prepared mustard

Method

  • Fry bacon to crisp; drain off grease.
  • Place on paper towel. Cook onion and bell pepper in pan where bacon was cooked.
  • Combine beans with bacon and about one tablespoon bacon drippings, catsup, sugar, onion, pepper, relish and mustard.
  • Bake in 350° oven for 30 to 40 minutes.
  • Do not cover pan.
