Ingredients

  • 1 bagette french bread, sliced
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup butter 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 tsp corn syrup
  • maple syrup

Method

  • Butter pan, layer bread slightly overlapping. Combine milk, eggs, cream, vanilla, spices. Pour over bread. Refrigerate overnight.
  • Next morning preheat oven to 350. Combine butter, sugar, walnuts and corn syrup. Spread over top. Bake for 40 minutes.
