Ingredients
- 4 c. cornflakes, crushed
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 6 slices bread
- 1/4 c. butter
Method
- Combine eggs, milk, salt and vanilla in a shallow bowl.
- Dip bread into egg mixture turning once and allowing both sides to absorb liquid.
- Coat evenly with crumbs and place in a single layer on a well-greased baking sheet.
- Drizzle with melted butter. Bake in a 450° oven for about 10 minutes or until lightly brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with warm syrup.
