Ingredients

  • 3 None large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • None Pinch ground nutmeg
  • None Pinch ground cinnamon

Method

  • Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease a 3 cup oven-safe dish.
  • Whisk together eggs, vanilla extract and sugar. Heat milk in a saucepan until hot, then gradually add to egg mixture, whisking until combined. Pour into prepared dish.
  • Place dish in a roasting pan. Fill the roasting pan with enough hot water to reach halfway up the side of the custard dish. Sprinkle custard with nutmeg and cinnamon. Bake 30-35 minutes, or until center is just firm. Remove from water. Serve warm or cold.
