Ingredients
- 1 (5 lb.) chicken (for baking)
- 1 1/2 c. water
- salt
Method
- Wash well.
- Salt inside and outside of chicken thoroughly. Brush outside with butter.
- Place in roasting pan with water and cover.
- Bake in 325° oven until done, approximately 20 minutes per pound.
- Remove cover last half hour to brown.
- Use chicken broth for rice dressing (hashwee), soups, etc.
