Ingredients

  • 4 bananas, peeled
  • Lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • Whipping cream (optional)

Method

  • Dip bananas in lemon juice; arrange in a greased 2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle with raisins and pecans. Combine sugar, syrup, and water in a small saucepan; cook over medium heat until bubbly. Spoon syrup over bananas; dot with butter. Cover and bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Serve warm with whipping cream, if desired.
