Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh snap green beans
  • 1 package low-sodium bacon
  • 5 tsp brown sugar (I use Splenda brown sugar mix)
  • 5 tsp coarsely chopped pecans
  • garlic salt

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Wash beans and snap off ends. Blanche beans by placing them in boiling water for 2 minutes, then directly into ice water for about 10-15 seconds.
  • Wrap 8-10 beans in one strip of bacon, creating a bundle.
  • Put bundles on cooking sheet.
  • Place 1/2 tsp of brown sugar and 1/2 tsp pecans directly onto bacon on each bundle. Sprinkle each bundle with garlic salt, to taste.
  • Cook at 350F for 20 minutes. Serve immediately! Serves 4-5 people.
