Ingredients
- 2 lb. top round steak, ground
- 1/4 lb. ground pork (optional)
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 1/2 tsp. ground allspice
- 2 slices stale bread, soaked in milk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Method
- Mix ingredients thoroughly together.
- Keeping fingers moist by dipping fingers in bowl of cold water, roll mixture in tiny round balls.
- Fry in butter over a low flame for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Keep turning meat balls while cooking.
- Yields 6 servings.
