Ingredients
- 100 gm butter
- 220 gm noodles, uncooked
- 3 x Large eggs, beaten
- 100 gm cottage cheese
- 500 ml lowfat milk
- 65 gm sugar
- 7 1/2 ml vanilla extract
- 350 gm crushed pineapple with juice cornflake crumbs, to top
Method
- 1.
- Heat butter in a 22x33 pan.
- 2.
- Add in noodles.
- 3.
- Combine remaining ingredients, except crumbs, spread proportionately over noodles.
- 4.
- Top with crumbs.
- 5.
- Bake at 175 FC for about an hour.
- This recipe is interesting because you do not cook the noodles first.
- This recipe is very simple, but it does taste a little pastier than recipes which require the noodles to be cooked first.
- It also comes out very flatxmost of the kugel recipes I've made in the past use twice as many noodles in the same size pan.
- I found which some of the things can be increased, i.e., add in more noodles, more pineapple, more cottage cheese.
