Ingredients

  • 100 gm butter
  • 220 gm noodles, uncooked
  • 3 x Large eggs, beaten
  • 100 gm cottage cheese
  • 500 ml lowfat milk
  • 65 gm sugar
  • 7 1/2 ml vanilla extract
  • 350 gm crushed pineapple with juice cornflake crumbs, to top

Method

  • 1.
  • Heat butter in a 22x33 pan.
  • 2.
  • Add in noodles.
  • 3.
  • Combine remaining ingredients, except crumbs, spread proportionately over noodles.
  • 4.
  • Top with crumbs.
  • 5.
  • Bake at 175 FC for about an hour.
  • This recipe is interesting because you do not cook the noodles first.
  • This recipe is very simple, but it does taste a little pastier than recipes which require the noodles to be cooked first.
  • It also comes out very flatxmost of the kugel recipes I've made in the past use twice as many noodles in the same size pan.
  • I found which some of the things can be increased, i.e., add in more noodles, more pineapple, more cottage cheese.
