Ingredients

  • 2 cups yukon gold potatoes, sliced thin
  • 12 large onion, sliced into rings
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 14 teaspoon Morton nature seasons seasoning blend
  • 14 teaspoon cayenne pepper (more to taste)
  • salt and pepper
  • 14 cup Mexican blend cheese, shredded
  • 13 cup 1% low-fat milk

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 350F.
  • Prepare your baking dish by adding the olive oil.
  • Peel the potatoes, cut in half, then slice thinly.
  • Slice the onion into thin, 1/4 inch slices.
  • Add both to the baking dish.
  • Add the butter, Nature Seasonings, cayenne pepper, cheese and milk, then salt and pepper to your own preference.
  • Stir the mixture to ensure that every potato has both oil and spices on it.
  • Bake covered at 350F for approximately 45 minutes, or until the potatoes are soft.
