Ingredients
- 5 lb. Granny Smith apples
- 1 lb. lean bacon strips
- 3 tsp. brown sugar (heaped)
Method
- Peel and thinly slice the apples.
- Place apples in a large frying pan with a small amount of water (1/2 cup).
- Cook until softened, but not pulped.
- Cook bacon and cut into small pieces. Add bacon and brown sugar.
- Cook together until sugar is totally melted.
- Serve with whole wheat toast.
