Ingredients

  • 4 c. diced apples
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ginger sugar substitute (optional)

Method

  • Add in all ingredients except sugar substitute to a microwaveable bowl.
  • Mix well.
  • Microwave on high for 4 min or possibly till tender.
  • Stir.
  • Microwave another 2 min.
  • Add in the sugar substitute to taste, optional.
  • Use as a topping for pancakes, crepes, waffles, French toast, English muffins or possibly even chicken.
  • This recipe yields eight 1/2-c. servings.
  • NOTES : Diabetics or possibly those on calorie-controlled diets may count one serving as: 1/2 fruit exchange.
