Ingredients
- 1 (6 oz.) can frozen apple juice, thawed
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 6 c. sliced apples
Method
- Prepare pie shells and set aside.
- Mix apple juice, cornstarch and cinnamon until smooth and well blended.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring until it boils and thickens.
- Remove from heat.
- Add apples and stir until well blended.
- Pour into pie shell.
- Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.
- Lower heat to 350° and bake 40 minutes.
- Can use 2 crusts or prepare as a Dutch apple with cinnamon, brown sugar and margarine mixed together and sprinkled over top.
