Ingredients

  • 1 (6 oz.) can frozen apple juice, thawed
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 6 c. sliced apples

Method

  • Prepare pie shells and set aside.
  • Mix apple juice, cornstarch and cinnamon until smooth and well blended.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring until it boils and thickens.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add apples and stir until well blended.
  • Pour into pie shell.
  • Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.
  • Lower heat to 350° and bake 40 minutes.
  • Can use 2 crusts or prepare as a Dutch apple with cinnamon, brown sugar and margarine mixed together and sprinkled over top.
