Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1/2 of 8-oz. tub) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese Spread
  • 1/2 cup sugar, divided
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1-3/4 cups flour
  • 1 Tbsp. CALUMET Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Golden Delicious apples, peeled, coarsely grated
  • 1/2 tsp. zest and 1 Tbsp. juice from 1 lemon Safeway 4 ct For $5.00 thru 02/09

Method

  • Beat cream cheese spread, 1/4 cup sugar, salt and cinnamon with mixer until blended; refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Combine flour, baking powder and remaining sugar in large bowl.
  • Whisk eggs, milk, oil and vanilla in medium bowl until blended.
  • Toss apples with lemon zest and juice.
  • Add to egg mixture; mix well.
  • Add to flour mixture; stir just until moistened.
  • Ladle batter onto hot nonstick griddle or into hot nonstick skillet, using 1/4 cup batter for each pancake.
  • Cook until bubbles form on tops, then turn to brown other sides.
  • Serve with cream cheese mixture.
