Ingredients
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 3/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
- 4 c. diced apples or peaches
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 well beaten egg
- 1/2 c. canned milk
- 1/3 c. butter, melted
Method
- Place apples or peaches in bottom of greased deep-dish pie plater or baking dish.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and 1/2 cup sugar. Sift together dry ingredients.
- Combine egg, milk and butter.
- Add dry ingredients all at once to milk mixture.
- Mix until smooth. Pour over fruit.
- Sprinkle with nuts.
- Preheat oven to 320°.
- Bake slow for about 50 minutes.
- Great with ice cream.
