Ingredients
- 1 pt. cream or half and half
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 c. sugar (more or less according to tartness of apples)
- 1 egg
- vanilla to taste
Method
- Combine cornstarch with sugar. Beat all together. Line a 10 x 15 pan with pastry. Put a solid layer (or two) of apples over pastry and pour the cream mixture on top. Bake as you would apple pie. Sprinkle small amount of sugar on top when removed from oven. Best when eaten slightly warm or on same day made. Refrigeration will cause moisture to form on custard.
