Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup chocolate peanut spread
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup sifted flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method

  • Preheat oven to 180AsC (350AsF).
  • Brush a 9" x 13" baking pan generously with butter.
  • If desired, line the bottom and long sides of the pan with baking paper for easier removal of the base.
  • Beat the butter and chocolate peanut spread with an electric whisk until smooth.
  • Add eggs, sugar and vanilla extract, and continue beating until fluffy.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Add flour mixture to butter mixture.
  • Blend only until combined.
  • Pour the mixture to the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until done (skewer comes out clean when inserted into the center).
  • Remove from the oven and leave to cool.
  • Remove from the pan then cut into squares.
  • Serve, share and enjoy!
  • Note: If theres no available chocolate peanut spread, we can use 3/4 cup peanut butter and 75 grams of cocoa powder.
