Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. margarine
  • 3 medium onions, chopped
  • 3 large green peppers, chopped
  • 3/4 tsp. garlic
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large can whole corn with juice
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 lb. large shells
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 Tbsp. pepper
  • 32 oz. canned tomato sauce
  • 1 oz. canned mushrooms
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 3/4 c. sherry wine
  • 1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Method

  • Add to macaroni shells or rice (cooked), brown veggies and beef. Add remaining ingredients. Bake, covered, at 350° for 2 hours. Uncover last 1/2 hour. Serves 10 hungry adults.
