Ingredients

  • corn meal
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 to 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 jar Cheez Whiz
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. onion rings
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 c. barbecue sauce
  • 1 c. chopped tomato

Method

  • Grease a 12-inch pizza pan. Sprinkle bottom with corn meal. Cut butter into flour until mixture is crumbly. Stir 1/2 cup Cheez Whiz and water in.
  • Mix with fork and form ball.
  • Press dough over bottom and sides of pan. Bake 10 minutes at 450°.
  • Brown meat. Drain. Add onion and green pepper.
  • Cook until tender. Stir in remaining cheese spread and barbecue sauce. Stir until cheese is melted. Spoon mixture over crust. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes. Top with tomato. Continue baking for 5 minutes.
  • Makes 8 servings.
