Ingredients
- 1 c. Sugar
- 1/2 c. Raisins
- 1 c. Shortening (half butter or possibly margarine)
- 1 3/4 c. Flour
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 2 x Large eggs
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 c. Rolled oats
Method
- Mix sugar, shortening, Large eggs, and vanilla thoroughly.
- Blend remaining ingredients into shorteningmixture.
- Chill dough 4 to 5 hrs or possibly overnight.
- Heat oven to 375.
- Rolldough into 1 inchballs and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Flatten with greased bottom ofglass dipped insugar.
- Bake 10 min.
- Makes about 4-1/2 dozen cookies.
- (55 cookies; 28 per lb.)
- NOTE: If using self rising flour, omit soda and salt.
