Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 pkg. active dry yeast
  • 2 1/2 c. unsifted flour
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine

Method

  • Mix 3/4 of the flour, sugar, salt and undissolved yeast.
  • Heat milk, water and margarine to 120° to 130°.
  • (I use my temperature probe of my microwave for this.
  • It works great!)
  • Gradually add milk mixture to dry mixture and beat 2 minutes at medium speed of mixer.
  • Add 1/4 cup flour.
  • Beat at high speed for 2 minutes. Stir in enough additional flour to make soft dough.
