Ingredients
- 12 to 15 medium cukes
- 4 c. cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. mixed pickling spices
- 5 tsp. salt
- 8 c. sugar
Method
- Leave cukes whole and cover with boiling water.
- Let stand at room temperature.
- Next morning, drain and wipe dry.
- Cover with boiling water.
- Repeat for 3 more mornings, then cut cukes into 1/2-inch slices.
- Mix rest of ingredients and boil.
- Pour over cukes, let stand at room temperature for 2 days.
- Bring contents to a boil; pack, seal and process 10 minutes in a boiling water bath.
