Ingredients
- 28 ounces, weight Crushed Tomatoes
- 5 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 Onion, Halved And Ends Cut Off, Outer Skin Removed
Method
- Combine all ingredients in a large sauce pan and place over medium heat. Bring the sauce to a simmer, stirring occasionally, and then lower the heat so the sauce is barely simmering. Simmer for an additional 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the sauce from heat and then discard the onion.
