Ingredients
- Shredded lettuce
- Finely diced celery
- Finely chipped green onion
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts
- 1 box frozen tiny green peas, uncooked
- Hellmann's mayonnaise
- Shredded cheese
- Diced crisp fried bacon
- Romano cheese
Method
- Place a thick layer of lettuce in a container. Layer over this, in thin layers, the next 4 ingredients. Seal the entire dish, from edge to edge, with a layer of mayonnaise. Cover this layer with shredded cheese, bacon and a generous sprinkling of Romano cheese. Cover and seal all this tightly for 10 - 24 hours. Do Not Mix before serving. Keep refrigerated. Use foil or Saran wrap to seal container if container has no lid or covering of its own.
