Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 to 1 1/2 c. roasted peanuts
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Method
- In Corning Ware dish (1 quart) combine syrup, sugar and salt. Microwave on High for 5 minutes.
- Stir in peanuts and microwave 3 to 5 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes until syrup and peanuts are lightly brown.
- Stir in butter, vanilla and soda. Stir until butter melts and mixture is foamy.
- Pour out onto buttered cookie sheet (about 1/4-inch thick).
- Let cool.
- Break into bite size pieces.
- Makes 1 pound.
