- 8 oz. wide egg noodles
- boiling salted water
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 16 oz. tomato sauce
- 1 small (3 oz.) cream cheese
- 1 c. sour cream
- 3 Tbsp. cottage cheese
- 6 green onions and tops, finely sliced
- 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Method
- Cook noodles; drain.
- Brown meat, stirring with fork until crumbly. Stir in garlic and salt.
- Add tomato sauce and simmer. Mix together cream cheese, sour cream, cottage cheese and green onions.
- Arrange alternate layers of noodles, meat sauce and cream cheese mixture in a 2 1/2-quart casserole.
