Ingredients

  • 8 oz. wide egg noodles
  • boiling salted water
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 16 oz. tomato sauce
  • 1 small (3 oz.) cream cheese
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 3 Tbsp. cottage cheese
  • 6 green onions and tops, finely sliced
  • 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Method

  • Cook noodles; drain.
  • Brown meat, stirring with fork until crumbly. Stir in garlic and salt.
  • Add tomato sauce and simmer. Mix together cream cheese, sour cream, cottage cheese and green onions.
  • Arrange alternate layers of noodles, meat sauce and cream cheese mixture in a 2 1/2-quart casserole.
