Ingredients
- 5 Tbsp. oats
- 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 3 Tbsp. gluten flour
- 1 Tbsp. yeast
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. DATE BUTTER
- 2 3/4 to 3 c. warm water
- 1 Tbsp. applesauce
Method
- Stir
- together first 5 ingredients.
- Add other ingredients. Give
- 200 strokes.
- The consistency should be soupy and stringy like
- pancake
- batter.
- Add
- 3 cups whole wheat flour. Let sit
- 5 minutes.
- Knead 10 minutes.
- Rise 20 minutes.
- Bake at 325° to 350°
- for
- 30
- to 45 minutes.
- A hollow sound when thumped indicates a thoroughly baked loaf.
