Ingredients

  • 4 (1 1/4 lb.) cube steak
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms
  • 2 med. thinly sliced zucchini
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1 teaspoon chopped onion
  • 2 dashes warm pepper sauce
  • 1 tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1 can (8 ounce.) tomatoes

Method

  • Brown steaks in skillet.
  • Remove.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Saute/fry mushrooms till lightly browned.
  • Remove mushrooms and saute/fry zucchini a few min in same skillet.
  • Stir in flour, onion, warm pepper sauce, tomatoes, vinegar and seasoning salt.
  • Put mushrooms and steak back in skillet; cover and cook for 30 min or possibly till meat is tender.
  • Divide into 4 servings.
  • 270 calories each.
  • Good and enjoyable regardless of diet.
